The fifteen years you were in our lives, were the happiest
I have ever had. You were the kind of child that every parent wish
they could have met, your charisma melted the coldest heart.
You were matured and wise beyond your years and as
I watched you grow into a lovely young woman, I
basked under your warm smile. I grew with you and you were
my best friend, my sister, my daughter,I was so proud of you.
The night a drugged driver killed you, I lost part of my soul.
You were my only daughter, our family was like a strong chain of love and
now the link is broken without you. I know someday we will all become a
strong chain once again, when we meet in Infinity.

The moment I learned my position as a Victim, I rebelled.
I became an Activist, that was the only way I could find to get my child's killer
behind bars. I also work towards prevention by speaking at
Schools, Juvenile Halls, Driver's Ed, County Jail and Victim Impact Panels as to prevent a DWI Offender to have multiple offenses
which can result into a tragedy such as Karen's death. Photos and articles of my commitment to reduce DWI.
COPING WITH GRIEF - TIPS, POWERFUL BOOKS AND MESSAGES
An acceptance that I will grieve forever, and a refusal to be
a Victim. No matter how down I am, I am still here and I am not done with my
mission on Earth just yet.
